As of July 1, 2024, Applus+ LEM is integrated into the company APPLUS METROLOGY, S.L. and begins to use the Applus+ Laboratories brand in all communication materials.

Founded in 1997 as Ensayos Metrológicos S.L., with a registered office in Rubí (Spain), Applus+ LEM became part of Applus+ Group in 2019, specifically as part of the Applus+ Laboratories Division.

Applus+ LEM accreditations

Applus+ LEM is a metrological verification body authorised throughout the national sphere.

It is also an EU-notified body in charge of evaluating the conformity of automatic and non-automatic weighing instruments (scales).

In addition, we have ENAC accreditations for the following standards: 93/LC10.064 for ISO 17025, 424/EI612 for ISO 17020 and 225/C-PR443 for ISO 17065. 

Applus+ LEM services

Applus+ LEM has a calibration laboratory for mass and volume magnitudes.

It also offers on-site calibration services, as well as the verification of different equipment units, at customers’ premises.

Equipment verification subject to metrological control

Applus+ LEM has been designated as a Metrological Verification Authorised Body. Our inspectors, who work throughout the Spanish territory, carry out the periodic legal verification and subsequent repair and/or modification of the following equipment units:

  • Automatic and non-automatic weighing instruments
  • Grape must refractometers
  • Tank trucks
  • Temperature data loggers and thermometers
  • AdBlue and fuel dispensers
  • Analog and electronic pressure gauges for vehicles tyres


Calibration

Applus+ LEM offers calibration services for the following magnitudes:  

  • Volume (vessels)
  • Mass (scales and weighing machines)


Equipment commissioning

Applus+ LEM is a European Union-notified body (NB 0962) - NANDO.

Before being launched to the market, it evaluates the conformity of the following measurement equipment with European metrological legislation:

  • Automatic weighing instruments. Module F/F1.
  • Non-automatic weighing instruments. Module F/F1/G.

To carry out the process of conformity of the model based on product verification, we follow the following steps:

  • Analysis of all technical documentation of the instrument.
  • In-situ verification of the instrument to verify that it is built and installed according to the documentation presented, as applicable to the instrument.
  • Performing tests according to current legislation.
  • Review of the complete evaluation process and decision making resulting in the issuance of the Certificate of Conformity or in the detailed communication of non-compliances.

Certification fees are available to clients upon request.
