Founded in 2007 under the name of Keystone Compliance, LLC. and headquartered in New Castle, PA (United States), Applus+ Keystone became part of Applus+ Laboratories, a Division of Applus+ Group in 2024.
Applus+ Keystone is an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory by ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) (No. AT-3142) for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), environmental, climatic and mechanical testing scopes. Its package laboratory is also accredited by the International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) and the Freight Classification Development Council (FCDC) which operates under the support of the National Motor Freight Traffic Association (NMFTA).
Applus+ Keystone is a full-service regulatory compliance laboratory offering solutions for a wide range of EMC/EMI, environmental, product safety, ISTA-certified package and ingress protection testing requirements. The laboratory provides a full scope of EMC/EMI testing services for commercial and military standards. Its laboratories are equipped with several EMC chambers with turntables, ground planes, as well as other facilities for shielding effectiveness testing, electrostatic discharge testing, and lightning & surge testing. Keystone can also perform country-specific tests for USA, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand.
Applus+ Keystone can meet a vast range of climatic-based testing compliance, including: altitude, fluid contamination, humidity, icing & freezing rain, immersion, salt-fog, solar radiation, temperature, thermal shock, and wind & rain. Its dynamics lab features pneumatic shock machines and electrodynamic shakers, to perform drop, impact code (IK), shock, vibration testing. Lastly, the lab can also design and build custom fixturing for shock and vibration tests.
Applus+ Keystone package lab can cover the majority of transit simulation testing for individual boxes to oversized pallets. The scope includes conditioning, vibration, drop, inclined impact, compression, flexible packaging, and pallet/parcel integrity testing. In addition to transit simulation, the company also provides cold chain package testing and accelerated aging testing.
