In the hardened and tempered condition, it reaches a minimum of 50 HRC. The steel can undergo nitriding (surface hardness approximately 1000 HV). Use: extrusion tools, such as tube extrusion piercers, spacers (water cooling), die holders and inner sleeves for heavy metal alloys diecasting tools for high numbers of rounds in light metal processing swage-pressed mouldings for heavy and light metal processing dies or die inserts below forging presses in steel forming. |
