It shows the following casting characteristics and properties: plasticity: good heat crack resistance: good pressure tightness: good workability (after heat-treatment): good corrosion resistance: insufficient decorative anodic oxidation: insufficient weldability: acceptable polishability: good strength at room temperature: insufficient strength at increased temp. (up to 200°C): excellent ductility (impact strength): acceptable fatigue strength amounts 60 to 90 N/mm² ( best available casting method, values for vibration durability up to 50*10 hoch 6 cycles [Woehler diagram]). To the comparable DIN-mark G-AlSi6Cu4, mat. No. 3.2151, acc. to DIN 1725-2 : 1986-02 applies: The material is a well castable all-round alloy, high machinability, heat-resistant and mostly unhardened. Application: machine and engine parts for vehicle industry, electrical engineering, mining. |
