High-temperature strength values hardly decrease up to 200°C, low-temperature values only slightly increase up to -60°C. Favorable suitability as bearing material also for high bearing pressures. The alloy is due to its favorable strength suitable for workpieces exposed to high mechanical loadings, such as parts of special fitting and apparatus engineering. Processing properties: castability: good machinability: conditionally soft soldering: unfavorable hard soldering: unfavorable gas fusion welding: unfavorable arc welding: unfavorable TIG-welding: conditionally MIG-weding: conditionally resistance welding: conditionally burnishing (mech.): very good galvanizing: conditionally suitability for dip tinning: unfavorable (material specification applies for G-CuZn34Al2 acc. to DIN) Application: Statically loaded construction parts, such as valve and controlling parts, seats, cones are made of CuZn34Mn3Al2Fe1-C. Application in food industry due to the favorable corrosion resistance. |
