It shows better strength properties than material CuSn12-C (CC483K), It is corrosion and seawater resistant as well as resistant to cavitation loadings. Properties of the delivery forms circular and continuous casting are more evenly, the 0,2-yield point, tensile strength and hardness are higher. Sand casting is used for high-stressed coupling blocks and coupling pieces, under load moved spindle nuts, higher stressed high-speed worm and helical gear rims as well as for high-stressed fitting and pump casings, guide, blade and bucket wheels for pumps and water turbines. Load parameter for worm gears at endurance test according to the sliding speed: c = 150 to 800 N7cm², for temporary load: c = 2000 to 2500 N/cm² Castings produced under continuous resp. centrifugal casting procedures are used for circular and tubular construction components, under load moved nuts, maximum stressed high-speed worm and helical gear rims. Load parameter for worm gears at endurance test according to the sliding speed: c = 200 to 1250 N7cm², for temporary load: c = 4000 to 4500 N/cm². Processing properties: machinability: good soft soldering: good hard soldering: good gas fusion welding: conditionally gas shielded welding: conditionally burnishing: good galvanizing: good suitability for dip tinning: good (material specification applies for G-CuSn12Ni acc. to DIN)
