Manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment aim to sell their products in as many markets as possible. At the same time, they look to minimize the amount of time and money they need to spend navigating the specific requirements for each market.
The CB Scheme provides a mechanism for mutual acceptance of test reports and certificates between participating members, of which there are more than 50 certification bodies from countries spanning Europe, America, Asia, Oceania and Africa. The scheme’s objective is to eliminate duplication of testing and to provide manufacturers with a simplified means of obtaining multiple national safety certifications for their products.
Testing and Certification Services for the IECEE - CB SCHEME
Applus+ Laboratories provides CB Scheme services both as a National Certification Body (NCB) and as a CB Testing Laboratory (CBTL), through different companies in Europe and North America that are part of the Applus+ group*.
We also have a network of customer service offices in Europe, North America and Asia, where you can benefit from a local and single point of contact to carry out the CB Scheme testing and certification process.
The scope of our accreditation includes, among others, the following standards:
- IEC 61010 Electrical equipment for measurement, control and laboratory use.
- IEC 60601 Electromedical equipment
- IEC 60335 Household appliances
- IEC 62368 Audio and video equipment, information and communication technology equipment
- IEC 60950 Information technology equipment
- IEC 62443-4-1/2 Cybersecurity
We test your products in accordance with the applicable IEC standard and any national differences required for the countries in which you intend to market your product, including the USA and Canada.
*Applus+ Laboratories NCB for the Cybersecurity category is LGAI Technological Center S.A. and its CBTL is jtsec Beyond IT Security SL. For electrical safety standards, our NCB is QPS Evaluation Services, Inc, and we have to CBTL. All those companies are part of the Applus+ group.
