29/03/2023

As a strategic provider of cybersecurity assessments, Applus+ Laboratories is proud to be a gold sponsor and speaker at the International Conference on the EU Cybersecurity Act, an ongoing effort to consolidate a cybersecurity framework in the EU.

    • Start date: 29/03/2023
    • End date: 30/03/2023
    • City: Brussels
    • Country: Belgium

EU member states are already developing national standards and certification schemes to harness and strengthen cybersecurity measures. However, another step has come up in their agenda: consolidating a European framework to ensure a single, joint market.

The EU Cybersecurity Act Conference acts as an independent market focus forum to tackle this subject. Its aim is to share knowledge and expertise on the regulatory framework and schemes.

During this conference, we'll be playing a key role, not just as gold sponsors, but also as speakers. So, don't miss the Evolution of Cryptographic Evaluation in Europe talk this March 30 at 9:30 AM. José Ruiz, Co-Director from jtsec, an Applus+ company, will share his expertise and advances in cryptographic evaluations.

Crypto Modules are quickly gaining ground as a means to protect sensitive information in hardware, software and firmware products. During this talk, José will focus on the new approach to evaluate cryptography in Spain, which could serve as a potential base for an European Crypto Scheme.

We will also be at the Crypto Module Day event on March 28. Part of the EU Cybersecurity Act Conference, this one-day conference specifically discusses the international standard bringing security requirements for cryptographic modules. Here, Ryan Thomas, from Lightship Security, part of Applus+ Laboratories will be in charge of moderating The Industry/Technology Talks from 1:20 PM – 2:50 PM.

We’re excited to be part of this valuable event! Most importantly, we hope to contribute to the standards community as they prepare for the evolution of risk-based frameworks and get ready to address ongoing market needs.
