Applus+ Laboratories accredited by JCB to test payment card functional compliance under their latest specifications

We are proud to announce that JCB has accredited us to carry out functional testing on Contact, Contactless, and Dual Interface payment cards, under the latest version of JCB IC Card Application Specification v3.2.

Our laboratory in Barcelona is ready to conduct all the functional evaluations required to obtain JCB’s Letter of Approval, including EMV L1 tests (contact and contactless), and JCB tests (J/Smart L2 Contact and Contactless, Performance, and Combi-Interoperability). 

JCB Level 2 testing is performed using our own testing platform (Approvit), validated by JCB. The new tool provides a reliable, user-friendly solution for testing automation, and a convenient tool to debug their products with confidence. 
 

One-stop-shop for security and interoperability

Applus+ Laboratories was already accredited to test JCB security evaluations for contact and contactless cards (J/Smart) and mobile products. Having both security and functional accreditations, we are now able to provide a one-stop-shop service for JCB-Card compliance, as well as similar services for the rest of the payment schemes.
