Applus+ develops AERO-REP project, which aims to determine the better conditions for the curing of composite materials used for reparations (composite carbon fiber or glass fiber, pre-impregnated with epoxy resin) to carry out aircraft reparations in service, when its materials are cured in low pressure conditions.
This project will provide continuity in the development of this type of materials for repairs in service and in conditions of low pressure curing, until nowadays not studied and expected of great influence on service repairs carried out in areas of high altitude. Also, the study of the durability of the standard conditions reparation (cycles of temperature and humidity aging) that have not been widely developed today and will provide relevant information to define inspection patterns of the aeronautical structures repaired in service.
Funded through the INNCORPORA-TU subprogram, managed by MINECO (Ministerio de Economía y Competividad) and cofunded by the FSE with reference INC-TU-2011 - 1830.
